The Journey of Brave: Our Story & Roadmap

Brave Town

Brave is a 2D top-down MMORPG inspired by the golden age of online adventures—games like Dransik, Ultima Online, and Runescape that sparked a love for virtual worlds, real-time battles, and thriving player communities.

Set in an open world, Brave gives you the freedom to choose your own path. Whether you’re exploring distant corners of the map, hunting creatures for loot, trading with others, or honing your skills, the adventure is yours to shape.

Where We Are Now

Core Features

- Wander through the world, use doors, portals, and other connections to move around.
- Engage in combat with mobs and monsters. Players and enemies can deal damage, die, and respawn at a chosen spawn point.
- Acquire items that can be equipped (armor, weapons) or consumed (potions, food).
- Trade with NPCs who buy and sell items for gold.

Partially Implemented

- Use items on fixtures (e.g., axe → tree) to gather resources. Experience gain and skill requirements are still in the works.
- Interact with NPCs (such as merchants or quest givers) to learn information or trigger tasks/events.
- A very rough implementation of crafting is in place, transforming one item into another.

What’s Next

- NPCs that can assign tasks, provide rewards, and guide players through story and gameplay progression.
- Expanding tradeskills so they grant experience and tie into a progression loop.
- A framework for character progression that rewards long-term play and choice.

Built with modern web technologies, Brave runs right in your browser—on desktop or mobile—no downloads required. It’s been in development for several years, evolving through many iterations into the solid foundation it has today.

Brave is still growing, and your voice matters. This isn’t just about creating a game—it’s about building a community of adventurers who help shape its future. Whether you have ideas, enjoy testing new features, or simply love exploring new worlds, we’d love for you to join us.
